On our Husky Safari, experience the thrill of travelling through the wilderness with a team of energetic huskies. Enjoy the beautiful Lappish scenery and feel the excitement as the dogs take you on an unforgettable adventure.

Before the safari, our guide will give you a driving lesson and explain how to handle the sled. Each sled has room for two people: one passenger sitting in the sled and one driver standing behind it. Halfway through the safari, you will switch places so that both of you get the chance to drive. Drivers must be at least 18 years old.

During the safari, you will drive your own team of huskies through the varied landscapes of Lapland. Along the way, we will take a break where you can enjoy hot drinks and sweet buns. You will also have the opportunity to grill a sausage over an open fire.

How it unfolds

  1. Arrival

    Check in and gear up

    Check in at the front desk and meet up with your guide. Warm overalls, winter shoes and mittens are provided if needed.

  2. Before the start

    Driving school

    Our guide will provide driving instructions and go through the safety guidelines before the safari. Instructions are in English

  3. Step 1

    Husky ride through the wilderness

    You set off to the forest with a team of huskies. Ride through the arctic forest and enjoy the speed and power of the huskies. Two adults per sleigh; children always with a parent

  4. Step 2

    Picnic lunch

    Stop by a fireplace, warm up, grill a sausage and enjoy hot drinks

  5. Step 3

    Switch driver

    For the rest of the way you can switch the driver and passenger.

  6. Step 4

    Earn your Husky Driver's License

    Receive your official Husky Driver's License as a proof of your experience!

Good to know before you go

Who is this for?

A normal level of physical fitness is required. You will drive your own team of huskies, helping them uphill by pushing the sled and controlling your speed downhill by using the brake. If you are unable to drive a sled yourself, please contact our sales team before booking. Children will travel in the sleigh and small kids need to be seated with a parent in a sleigh.
